Aiming to sophisticate and activate the academic research toward strengthening of research capabilities for advanced medical care, and developing specialized healthcare professionals engaged in advanced medicine
The Osaka Dental University Translational Research Institute for Medical Innovation (TRIMI) is comprised of three divisions. Advanced Medicine Research Center aims to sophisticate and activate the academic research toward strengthening of research capabilities for advanced medical care. There is currently no decisive treatment for the COVID-19 infection. Even in such a state, the words such as "beyond 5G" and "post 5G," the next generation of the 5G, have been sent and the next-generation technologies using ICT and AI keep evolving for the "ultra-smart society." Regarding regenerative medicine, the transplantation therapy with iPS cells has started for spinal cord injury for which no effective therapy has been established other than rehabilitation. It seems promising for various organ regeneration.
However, even in an information society where ICT and AI are fully used, people play a major role in medical care, research, and education after all. We will develop specialized healthcare professionals engaged in advanced medicine. We will also play a role of creating academic activities that contribute to the future prediction in which these advanced medicine technologies are integrated with dentistry established by many researchers and clinicians in the past.
