Being able to communicate in English is a sure way to establish rapport with patients who do not speak Japanese. At the language courses in both undergraduate and graduate school levels, students practice English through patient interviews, chairside role-playing, and presentations. The English Department also develops teaching methods and materials for both dental English and general English education (currently 7 titles in print).
