Diploma Policy

A doctoral degree (in dentistry) shall be granted to a student who has been enrolled in the Graduate School of Dentistry for a designated period of time, earned a designated number of credits, passed the dissertation review and the final examination, and meet the following criteria:

  • To acquire advanced expertise and skills to lead oral science researches and be able to expand them.
  • To acquire advanced medical technologies based on oral science and be able to apply them.
  • To develop sophisticated culture as a researcher or healthcare professional and be able to leverage it.
  • To be able to contribute as a healthcare professional in the international community.

Curriculum Policy

In order to cultivate researchers who can support progress of oral science, which is the purpose of dental research, we have formulated a well-designed curriculum of lectures, practical trainings, and preparation of dissertation, for each of the postgraduate programs.
For major courses, students are evaluated based on research results to develop competent human resources.

  • We offer education to cultivate researchers with deep insight, expertise in dentistry and related fields built upon the foundation of life sciences, and an ability to find and solve root causes, as well as specialized professionals with advanced knowledge and techniques.
  • We provide practical education on English, research ethics, and research methods necessary for independent researches.
  • We establish students' ability to conduct advanced oral science researches.
  • We nurture healthcare professionals to be engaged in oral science research in association with the whole body.
  • We foster research capabilities that benefit the international society by nurturing sophisticated culture and an interdisciplinary perspective.

Admission Policy
