OSAKA DENTAL UNIVERSITY

Learning Path of Four Years

1st year

Human anterior and posterior teeth differ in shape, so we can bite food with the anterior teeth and grind food with the posterior teeth to facilitate swallowing. Oral Anatomy covers the fundamentals of dentistry, including tooth names, shapes, and functions.

2nd year

Partial plate dentures (removable partial dentures) are used to restore decreased functions and aesthetics caused by tooth loss. Partial Denture Clinical Practice covers knowledge and techniques necessary for creating this type of artificial denture.

3rd year

Development of dental materials has progressed, and intraoral devices, which were performed by manual operations, are now produced by using digital devices. Students will learn basics for creating dentures using 3D-CAD/CAM on their computer.

4th year

The 4th year will integrate the learning of the past three years. In addition to complementing shortages, students and faculty members will work together to explore their interests and develop their active learning abilities and capacity to adapt to changes in dental medicine.
*Social Welfare Study and Medical Office Management are offered only to those who have selected to take these courses.
