OSAKA DENTAL UNIVERSITY

Learning Path of Four Years

1st year

At the entrance of the digestive tract, the oral cavity plays an important role, in eating, talking, and creating facial expressions. Through basic courses, specialized courses, and practical trainings, students will learn how to improve not only oral health but also general health.

2nd year

In recent years, young people tend to suffer less from dental caries, and the elderly tend to have healthier teeth. In clinical courses, students will learn not only the prevention of dental caries and periodontal disease, but also the knowledge and techniques, to maintain oral health.

3rd year

In modern medical care, we also care about the life of patients after disease treatment. It is difficult for one healthcare professional to deal with an issue alone, so professionals of different disciplines need to cooperate. In the class of medical and dental cooperation, we will learn the need of multidisciplinary and regional cooperation as well as practical methods of cooperation.

4th year

In the class of general theory of oral health sciences, in order to acquire the necessary problem-solving ability as a dental hygienist, each student will select a theme based on learnings from on-site/clinical training, organize, analyze, and interactively discuss about the outcome.
*Social Welfare Study and Medical Office Management are offered only to those who have selected to take these courses.
