Entry and Exit

To enter the library, your student/staff ID card or a library card is needed. Please scan the code of your card at the entrance. Be sure to check out books, or the alarm will go off when you exit.

*Part-time Residents need to register the library card to visit our library. Please refer to our Japanese website for details.

Borrowing Books

Please show us your student ID card and the book you want to check out at the counter. You cannot borrow books which have labels indicating not available for loan.

*Long-term borrowing for summer, winter and spring vacation will be announced in advance.

• Renewing: If no one is reserving the book you are borrowing, you can renew the loan period up to 2 weeks. Register from our website (only in Japanese) or at the counter.
• Reservation: If the book you want to borrow is on loan, you can reserve the book. Reservations can be made online (only in Japanese) or at the counter.
• Returning: Please bring books or materials you borrowed to the counter. If the library is closed, you can also return books or materials to the book post. If you fail to return books or materials by the end of the loan period, you will not be able to borrow books or materials for the number of days exceeding the deadline.

Copying Documents

The Copyright Act (Article 31) allows copying documents in the library "when providing a single user of the library or similar facility with a single copy of a part of a work that has been made public in response to the user's request and for the purpose of the user's research or studies". Please pay attention to the Copyright Act to copy documents.

Copying machines in the library (3 machines in Kuzuha campus, 1 machine in Temmabashi campus and 1 machine in Makino campus) can be used by prepaid cards. Please order the prepaid card at the counter.

4. People who live or work in Hirakata City
   • Book lending service and photoduplication service is available. We will send the book or the photocopy to the city library. Please register through the city library.
