At the Graduate School of Dentistry, we are committed to education and researches on academic theories and application in dentistry, as well as attainment of deep insights, to foster development of culture and advancement of medicine, in particular advancement of dental science. We also cultivate researchers who have excellent research and educational competencies and play important and beneficial roles in the global scene, for the purpose of promoting human welfare.

In order to promote unique and advanced researches as well as multidisciplinary researches, high expertise and outstanding insights based on a broad perspective are required. It is important to absorb plenty of knowledge not only in areas of expertise but also in other areas.

The Graduate School of Dentistry has 24 postgraduate prinric sciences and clinical dentistry, offering postgraduate lectures with various research themes to develop students' acumen. The university hospital with the latest medical technologies and devices and the Translational Research Institute for Medical Innovation with the latest facilities create a research environment that can meet the needs of postgraduate students.

In Japan, which has entered the super-aging society, it is recognized that the role of oral function is important to support the health of senior citizens and expectations for dentistry are increasing. At the Graduate School of Dentistry, we are fully dedicated to continue clinical and basic researches on the relationship between oral diseases and systemic diseases, as well as development, maintenance, and restoration of oral functions, and proactively present the results to the world.
