What is a Social Worker?

A social worker is a "nationally qualified counselor and supporter" who provides consultation to persons who have difficulty in performing daily activities and advise on how to solve problems by using expertise and skills. (It is different from a care worker)
He/she may play an important role in many occasions, in nursing care, medical care and welfare.

In the Social Worker Program ...

You will aim to obtain a "social worker" qualification (national qualification). You will be eligible to take the examination to become a "social worker" by taking necessary courses and earning credits while in school.

Students from the Department of Oral Health Sciences and the Department of Oral Health Engineering are both eligible to attend this program, and the curriculum has been designed to include compulsory courses of both departments.
