Ethics is a philosophical study of morality, also known as moral philosophy. Department of Ethics is in charge of ethics education for first-year students and health care ethics education for third-year students. In the ethics class, while tracing the thoughts and ideas of great moral philosophers of the western world, we consider what it means to think and judge in terms of ethics, and why we should pay attention to the interests of others as well as those of our own. Health care ethics class will not propose to give all the answers to moral questions arising from contemporary health care settings, but it will give some basic frameworks to think and address those problems ethically for the students to be a good member in dental profession.
