OSAKA DENTAL UNIVERSITY

Make the most of the potential of dentistry beyond treatment

The students will study the knowledge of personal identification, identification at the time of large-scale disasters, abuse, etc. Since teeth are the hardest part of the body and have excellent storage stability, a person is highly likely to be identified by matching dental records with dental X-ray images. What is important to identify a person (dental identification) is the maxillofacial area, which the students will learn in detail in this course. We provide lectures on forensic medicine for the students in the Third year and intensive class focused on the national exam for the students in the Fifth and Sixth years.
