Physics supporting dental medicine

As symbolized by the fact that the first Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Rontgen who discovered X-ray, there is a long and deep relationship between physics and medical care. What is required in a medical front flooded with new information today may be a physical methodology to return to fundamental principles during pursuit for a solution, regardless of a present situation or empirical rules. In this Department of Physics, our mission is to inspire students pursuing careers as a dentist to obtain physical perspectives and thinking, and to foster their foundation to adapt to future cutting-edge medical care. We give lectures primarily in cultural education during the first year to build a solid base for deeper understanding in subsequent studies of professional dentistry. Lectures and practical works include "Physics," "Physics Experiments," and "Basic Information Science."
