Educational Goal

"Oral cavity" is the entrance of the digestive tract, and it is not independent of our entire body, but deeply related with it. We teach entire human body structures, not limited to head and neck ranging from macroscopic to microscopic levels perspectives. In particular, we learn the method to identify the vascular system.

Research Contents

We also capture normal images of blood vessels in various organs by the acrylic resin injection method. We learn about changes in blood vessels and bones at the macroscopic to microscopic levels that occur in disease models and after treatment.

  • Clinical anatomy of head and neck reserved for human body dissection practice sessions (with a particular focus on vascular vessels)
  • Microvascular architecture in various oral organs and in the wound healing process in diabetic rat model
  • Microvascular architecture in various oral organs and in the wound healing process in osteoporotic rat model
  • Improvement of the specimen preparation method for the acrylic resin vascular injection method
  • Effect of scale collagen on bone defect healing process
  • Reaction of microvascular architecture and osteogenesis in vivo at the time of implantation of various biological materials
  • Chronological changes of microvascular architecture in the tongue cancer rat model

Features of this major / Prospects following course completion

All graduate school faculty members, including the chief professor, shall be united to provide attentive and thorough guidance. Primary and secondary dissertations should be basically prepared in English, and overseas studies are recommended.

Valuing the knowledge and skills students acquired in four years at our graduate school, we respect the career plan developed by each student and support its fulfillment as much as possible. How to give lectures on anatomy is also taught to students seeking a position as the university faculty.
