Features of this major / Prospects following course completion

We are engaged in joint researches including clinical researches, in cooperation with many stakeholders, for example, professors of the basic courses and of other universities, as well as doctors from external research institutions and private industries. Our laboratory has a cell culture room and a bacterial laboratory, and has a nucleic acid extraction apparatus and real-time PCR device, etc., exclusively owned by the laboratory and purchased with several types of external funds including scientific research fund.

Currently, we are working to create an environment where our members can engage in research and clinical practice even after completion of graduate school, and to provide junior researchers with research guidance and obtain accreditation as a specialist/certified periodontist from Japanese Society of Periodontology.
