In the super-aging society, the number of people with periodontal disease is increasing. Periodontal disease draws attention as it is related to diabetes, heart and vascular diseases. Early diagnosis and treatment of periodontal disease are important for people to reduce the risk of contracting these systemic diseases in the future. In Periodontics, we promote health by providing specialized treatment for periodontal diseases. Advanced treatment is also provided such as regenerative treatment for periodontal disease.

Treatment of periodontal disease
Periodontal disease is caused by plaques. Plaques cause the gingiva to swell and destroy the periodontal tissue, which deepens the periodontal pockets. Thus, periodontal disease progresses. First, we diagnose the progress of periodontal disease by performing periodontal tissue tests and make a treatment plan. Then, we perform basic periodontal treatment to remove the cause and suppress the progression of periodontal disease. If periodontal disease is severe and not completely cured by basic periodontal treatment alone, specialized treatment including periodontal surgery will be performed to restore healthy periodontal tissue.

Regenerative therapy
Tissue lost due to periodontal disease is expected to be recovered to some extent by regenerative therapy. Surgery is performed on tissue that has been partially lost due to periodontal disease, and periodontal regeneration is attempted by application of regenerative medicine or filling of regeneration material.
