Procedures for hospitalization

  1. If you are admitted to the hospital, please directly come to the accounting section on the 2nd floor of the main building with your patient registration card and "Notice of Deposit" by 10:00 a.m..
  2. The deposit for hospitalization will be kept at the accounting section. This deposit will be settled in exchange for the "Deposit Receipt” at the time of discharge, so please keep the "Deposit Receipt" in a safe place.
  3. Please fill in the specified "Certificate of Hospitalization" and submit it to the ward reception after cosigning and sealing by a guarantor (an adult who lives independently).
  4. If you were directly admitted to the hospital for an emergency, please immediately complete the above procedures after hospitalization.
  5. Information on the deposit for hospitalization

*If patients who are admitted to the hospital due to work-related injury or live on welfare wish to use a private room, the deposit for hospitalization needs to be paid.

What you need to bring with you

  1. Seal, health insurance card, various medical certificates, eligibility certificate for ceiling-amount application (those who have applied), patient registration card
  2. Medication that you are currently taking or using (including over-the-counter drugs and health foods) and their instruction (if you have), medical record handbook
    *Please bring more than neccessary for the period of hospitalization.
  3. Pajamas with front opening (for the period of hospitalization), one Japanese style nightgown (used after surgery), underwear, change of underwear, dressing gown, several towels, three or more bath towels, indoor shoes (non-slip soles), clothes hangers, etc.
    *Rental Japanese-style nightgowns are available. 300 yen (tax excluded) per gown
  4. Tissue paper, cup, spoon, chopsticks, feeding cup (patients who undergo surgery), wash bowl, soap, shampoo, conditioner, laundry detergent (coin operated laundry machines are available)
    *Daily commodities are not sold at the hospital.
  5. Earphones (not required if using a private room)
  6. Other items instructed by the doctor/nurse

Cash and valuables

Do not keep any extra cash or valuables during hospitalization.
If anything is stolen, our hospital will not take any responsibility.

Visiting

  1. Weekdays: 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    Saturdays, Sundays, National Holidays, January 14th, June 18th : 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
    Visitors are not accepted other than the above time period.
  2. Visitors are required to fill in necessary information in the specified form at the ward reception.
  3. Please make visits as short as possible in consideration of the patient's physical condition and the other patient(s) in the same room.
  4. Please refrain from visiting with a child/children.
  5. You may not be able to visit a patient depending on his/her condition.
  6. If you visit a patient or go out after the hospital entrance is closed, please contact the nurse station and security.

Discharge

  1. Your attending physician will inform you of the date of discharge. At that time, please confirm the date of the next visit.
  2. When you are discharged from the hospital, the ward reception will show you to the accounting section on the 2nd floor. You may leave after settlement of the hospitalization fee.
    The procedure for the discharge is not available on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in principle. Please discuss with your attending physician if necessary.
  3. The medical expenses charged may be changed due to additional tests, procedures, or other reasons related to the medical payment system, etc. Please note that if any change occurs after payment, the difference will be charged at the time of outpatient visit.
  4. If you need a medical certificate or other certificates, please contact the ward reception during hospitalization. (Certificates are arailable after discharge, but may take time.)

Other Information

  1. On the day of surgery, adult relatives are reguired to wait from the start time to the end of surgery. The details of surgery and condition will be explained. No attendant is necessary in principle.
  2. Each bed is equipped with a TV and a refrigerator. To use it, a prepaid card must be purchased. (A remote controller, card key, and thermometer are always placed in the room. Any lost item must be reimbursed.)
  3. After the procedure for hospitalization, leaving the hospital without permission of your attending physician is prohibited.
  4. Use of mobile phones, etc. may cause radio interference to medical devices. Caution must be exercised in use.
  5. Meals on the day of admission are available from lunch. However, in the case of surgery or emergency admission, meal plans may be changed according to the instruction of your attending physician.
  6. Nail art, nail polish, and eyelash extensions can interfere with surgery or examination. Please remove them prior to admission.
  7. No smoking on the premises of the hospital.
  8. Please do not send your baggage for hospitalization using a delivery service.
  9. Be sure to consult your attending physician about vaccination before surgery.
  10. Hair dryers are equipped at the common bathroom.

Hospitalization costs

Hospitalization costs are calculated in accordance with the Health Insurance Act, etc. Unlike accommodation at hotels, hospitalization costs are calculated on a daily basis instead of an overnight basis. (If you are hospitalized for 1 night 2 days, it is counted as 2 days.)

*Fees may change due to revision of medical service fees.
*Basic hospitalization fee does not include the fees for meals, surgery, procedures, drugs, and laboratory tests.
*If you are hospitalized for 2 weeks or longer, the basic hospitalization fee will be reduced from the 3rd week.

*If you are admitted to the hospital due to work-related injury or if you live on welfare and wish to use a private room, you need to pay the deposit for hospitalization.
*The room is equipped with a bathroom, toilet, TV, and refrigerator.

  • If you do not have health insurance or if you are hospitalized for medical care at your own expense, consumption tax will be applied to all medical expenses.

Notice from hospital administration

  1. We may have you discharged from the hospital at the discretion of the hospital if your hospitalization affects the operation of the hospital or if your behavior causes trouble to other patients.
  2. If the medical device or equipment is damaged or bedclothes are contaminated due to your carelessness, we will ask you to pay the actual cost.
  3. We cannot change your room or move your bed, etc. at your request unless you are in a private room. If it is necessary for treatment or nursing care, we may ask you to move to another section.
  4. Our hospital staff will not accept any gifts.
